IMPORTANT NOTES
The 2024-2025 school year is off to a good start. Here are a few reminders to help you have a successful year.
Sycamore
Sycamore Education is the school’s online grading system. This site allows parents and students to keep up with grades, homework, upcoming tests, quizzes, and projects; it also affords parents an additional way to communicate with teachers via pass-a-note. Each family is assigned a unique username and password. If you are new to Sycamore or have forgotten your user information, please contact Susan Boulton at sboulton@tcsmonroe.com, and she will provide you with the needed login information. Sycamore is an excellent tool for academic success!
You may access Sycamore at the top of the TCS website where there is a direct link to the Sycamore site. There is also an app that families may download for smartphones.

Weather-Related School Closings
In case of inclement weather, students and parents should first check the school website (tcsmonroe.com) or Facebook page. Since the safety of our school families is of utmost importance, we always follow the Union County Public Schools regarding weather-related school closings.
We do not follow UCPS CONCERNING school delays. The purpose for the delayed time in starting school is based upon safely transporting students to school on buses, a process that begins as early as 5:30 a.m. Since TCS does not provide transportation to and from school, the hazards inherent in early bus travel are not present. (Any necessary delays will be posted on the school website and Facebook page. Tony Mangum makes the final call with respect to school delays based on weather.)
Special Note: If parents deem roads in their area too treacherous to bring children safely to school on time, students will not be marked tardy if a note is sent stating that the roads presented a safety hazard.
Concerns
If you ever have any questions or concerns that your child’s classroom teacher cannot resolve, please reach out to any of the following people (with whom you feel the most comfortable) to express your concerns:
Grades K/5 -5
Susan Sumner, Tony Mangum, Stephen Leonard
Grades 6-12
Susan Boulton, Stephen Leonard, Tony Mangum
May the Lord bless you all.
