Alumnus Kaylyn Harbin (pictured in the center) departed this past Wednesday, June 6, to spend a month in Mexico with the
BJU Mission Team
to engage in missionary work in various locations throughout Mexico. The team will be serving under several experienced missionaries, led by
Dr. Samuel Saldivar
of the BJU Bible faculty.
The team will be involved in a variety of ministries to reach children, youth, and adults with the gospel and to encourage local believers. The primary objective of the trip is to provide the students joining her on this trip with a focused time to "develop as Christ-proclaimers" through direct involvement in foreign missions.
The Team Goals of "Developing as Christ-Proclaimers":
- To promote a burden for the glory of God in the salvation of the lost
- To provide practical ministry experience
- To provide a realistic but inspirational introduction to missionary life
- To encourage appreciation for the entire Body of Christ
