Congratulations to senior Rebecca Cabrera who signed on to the Bob Jones University women's soccer team before the NCCSA State Soccer Championship game. BJU girl's soccer team has won the past 3 out of 5 national championships. The TCS family is excited for Rebecca and the future God has planned for her at BJU.

Congratulations, Lady Rams Soccer Team, on 1st place in State!
This past Saturday May 13th, 2017, the Lady Rams varsity soccer team won the NCCSA Soccer Championship for the second year in a row. Congratulations, girls! We are proud of you!

Congratulations, Varsity Baseball Team, on 2nd Place in State!
Congratulations to the TCS varsity boys baseball team. Our varsity Rams baseball team won second place in the NCCSA state tournament this past Saturday, May 13th, 2017. Way to go boys!

Bible Memory Champions:10th Grade
Congratulations to the 10th grade class on their victory in the annual TCS Bible Memory Competition. The 9th and 10th grades competed in the final round this Wednesday, May 10th. The 10th graders began the competition as the reining champions. Next year they will yet again defend their title as the reigning Bible memory champions. An image of the victorious class will be displayed on a plaque located beside the school office.

Our next teacher spotlight is Mrs. Candice Griffin, our high school science teacher and school nurse. She has served at TCS for 13 years and has contributed behind the scenes as a dedicated teacher, mother, and volunteer. Read article>>

Special Olympics Beta Club Trip 2017
This past week our students participated in the 2017 Stanley County Special Olympics. This is an annual event for the Beta Club of TCS. Students  and teachers were impacted by their opportunity to serve in the community. Read Article>>

Elementary NCCSA Fine Arts Results
This past Thursday several of our third through sixth grade students traveled to Gospel Light Christian School in Winston-Salem, NC, to compete in the NCCSA Elementary Fine Arts competition. Many of them brought back 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons, as well as the art award for "Best of Show." Click here to see the full results of the competition and images of the award winning art. Tabernacle would now like to turn our spotlight on Melanie Cohee, one of our outstanding middle school students. She has been at TCS since kindergarten and has excelled in many areas. Athletic Banquet Deadline May 8th, 2017

The annual sports banquet will be Monday, May 15th, at 6:30 pm in the TCS gymnasium.  Attire is semi-formal, and tickets are required for entry. The cost is $15 per person. All who wish to attend must complete the registration form and give the form and the payment to the school office by May 8th, 2017.

Congratulations Bible Quiz Bowl Team!

TCS is proud to announce that our varsity Bible Quiz Bowl team placed in the top 6 in the Bible Quiz Bowl National Competition  on Tuesday,  April 4th, 2017. It is an amazing accomplishment to get such a high rank in Bible memorization. 17 states competed at the competition. Congratulations, team!

TCS Staff Engagement

TCS faculty and class of 2009 alumni Hannah Mangum announced her engagement to Mr. Joey Vara on Friday, March 31st, 2017. TCS loves its alumni and are so happy to announce the wedding of two alumni, Ivan Sanchez and Kaylyn Harbin.  Kaylyn and Ivan met in the 9th grade at Tabernacle and began dating their junior year. They were married Saturday, February 4th, 2017, in a beautiful ceremony in the sanctuary at Bible Baptist Tabernacle. We wish you much happiness in your new life together.
