Mrs. Stephanie Lindsay has served as a teacher at Tabernacle Christian School since 2002. During the course of her career, she has worked with elementary, middle and high school students. When she started at TCS, she taught fifth grade where she remained for 7 years, but in 2009 she transferred to the middle school to teach middle school math. Students love Mrs. Stephanie for her vivacious personality, her compassionate heart, and for the countless hours she devotes to helping students succeed scholastically.  Current seventh grader, Antonio Sandoval describes Mrs. Stephanie as “friendly, funny . . . she inspires people to try harder. She is a good Christian teacher.” Sixth grader Rory Hood recognizes Mrs. Stephanie’s heart for people: “I feel like I could talk to her about life, not just math. She is a good listener.” Eighth grader Skyler Croke confirms, “She is sweet and kind and really cares about her students.” Math is definitely Mrs. Stephanie’s favorite subject, and her students recognize her passion for it. Sixth grader, Perla shares, “She explains math lessons really well.” And Victoria Sandoval of the seventh grade gives Mrs. Stephanie the highest recommendation any math teacher could hope for, “She is fun!”

As much as Mrs. Stephanie loves math, her deeper passion is that her students know the LORD on an intimate level. Her passion for Christ has profoundly impacted current and former TCS students. One alumna recalls, “Mrs. Stephanie served as my volleyball coach in high school. What I remember most about her and those seasons playing volleyball is not the games, trophies, and the banners we won, but the Christ-centered worldview that Mrs. Stephanie taught her players. It is that worldview and not the volleyball victories that have impacted my life to this day. I have never forgotten the biblical foundation she taught me with our daily devotions at practices. It was then I realized that even sports could be played to give God glory both in victory and loss. I learned that He could and should be central in everything I did. It was during those years that Mrs. Stephanie poured into me that I grew spiritually and started the personal relationship with Christ that I have today.”

Mrs. Stephanie impacts countless lives as a teacher and a spiritual mentor. She is a woman of many talents and responsibilities. Her role goes far beyond the classroom. She is the faculty coach of the TCS three-time state champion Bible Quiz Bowl team. She heads up the school’s junior and senior Beta Clubs and organizes the speakers of the bi-weekly chapel services. She is truly an outstanding teacher and valuable team member of TCS. Mrs. Stephanie is mother to four boys who all attend Tabernacle: Carter (8th grade), Caleb (5th grade), Connor (2nd grade), and Camden (Kindergarten). Her husband Jeff Lindsay is the youth pastor at Bible Baptist Tabernacle, and she serves with him each week ministering to the youth. With all her boys here at TCS, it is obvious Mrs. Stephanie feels Christian education is important. She feels the LORD has called her to Christian school ministry, specifically to TCS. When asked about her call in life she says, “I love my job. The Lord has truly given me the desire of my heart.” Mrs. Stephanie Lindsay certainly exemplifies Jim Eliot’s charge to Christians, “Wherever you are, be all there! Live to the hilt every situation you believe to be the will of God.” Mrs. Stephanie is definitely all there as a wife, a mother, a teacher, a coach, a youth minister’s wife, and a woman of God. She serves as a reminder to all of what God can do with a life that is wholly surrendered to Him.
